CARE University
CARE University is a nonprofit organization focused on education, access, and community empowerment. I serve on the board with a specific focus on digital communications, outreach strategy, and helping the organization reach the communities it was built to serve.
My goal is to close the gap between what CARE University does and how many people know it exists, through clearer messaging, a stronger digital presence, and outreach that builds real relationships rather than just broadcasting.

I cook heart-healthy meals for the residents of Ourcalling in Ferris, TX. Providing meals that are homemade and follow a heart-healthy diet. The mission of Ourcalling is to help neighbors experiencing homelessness walk with Jesus, get off the streets, and into a healthy community.

Why it matters to me

Digital access is not equal
Many mission-driven organizations do outstanding work but struggle to communicate it effectively. A good digital strategy should not only be available to organizations with large budgets.

Community is how change scales
Individual impact has a ceiling. When you invest in the organizations and networks around you, you multiply what any one person can do. That is a better return on time and energy.

Skills without purpose go flat
The skills I use professionally are far more satisfying when they serve something larger. Board service and community work keep that perspective in view.
